2 hp johnson colt (carb problem)

I have a question I was hoping that someone could help me with. <br /><br />I have a 2 hp johnson colt, I have had this think in and out of the shop with no luck. I'm having a problem getting it to idle down, or idle anywhere past half throttle. My biggest problem is that the carb is leaking around the high speed needle. I have had the carb dunked, carb kits put in, but now help. Any ideas?

I have found that those carbs can use more packing washers around the needle than what the manual calls for.<br /><br />The packing washers are available seperately.

found my one of the problems, the high speed needle was really loose. The original packing was shot, which caused a lean condition and caused it to leak. Now the idiling problem. <br /><br />Thank you for the reply. I appreciated it.
