Done a pretty long test run on johnson 85 esl73m,about 30min,seems to be working ok. control unit did piip one time but after that i have heard nothing so i kept testing for 20 min without ant piip and it runs well i must say. The area around the two holes on upper-stem,right belov the lower engine cover got pretty hot,its normal maybe? i mean it was used on wot many times during this test,i can see a tiny bit of smoke coming out those two circle holes on upper stem also.

Those two holes at the top of the midsection are called "exhaust relief" holes. They help with engine idling.
