The boat goes in gear in reverse but only at Idle. I can not go any faster than idle. when engaged in forward throttle is very stiff but it will accelerate.
Disconnect the shift and throttle cables from the motor and then try shifting it. You could have control box problems or motor probs but this splits them up.
