I'm not sure if I'm the best person to give advice here but I'll tell you what I know. The only reason you should need to change the PT&T oil is if you have water in it. If the oil isn't milky all you should need to do is add hydrolic oil. On older engines I have used regular automotive transmittion fluid. I am not advocating this, I am only giving you some input. Personally I would go to your nearest marine outlet and purchase PT&T oil for Johnson & Evenrude outboards. Hope this helps.
