engine horn

My motor is a 1987 johnson 70. Everytime we go half throttle or more a horn goes off. It has a new head gasket,water pump, thermostat, and other electrical. What else can i do?? thanks

We need more info. Does the horn quit as soon as you back off the throttle? Details please. A stesdy horn or intermittent?

also it pumps water out fine. But sometimes the water is a little warm. i heard something about an update kit that circulates the water out of the top of the block better from an omc dealer. please help!

The update is a good idea. When you go half throttle and the horn sounds, if you pull back to an idle does the horn continue to sound?
