So I picked up a new aluminum hull today, and I want to hook up my 6HP to a remote steering.
What kind of cable and/or ends do I want?
The old clip style, or the new U-Shapped clamp style?
Or does it depend on my controller?
...or do they both work the same anyway?
I plan on getting an older single lever controller.
Some day, I plan on getting dual 6HP's back there.
So, the plan was to buy another single lever controller, and bolt the 2 together.
Ebay has a lot of dual controllers for sale, pretty inexpensive. After buying 2 controllers, looks like I would be better off buying 1 dual.
and please excuse my ignorance here, but it doesn't quite look like the cheep mid-80's dual controllers have a warm-up lever?
I know the 6HP's steering setup was never meant for duals, so am I just dreaming here, or is it possible?
Ideas for single cable hookups?
I'm guessing its just a bar that connects the 2 together, then the steering rod attaches in the middle?
...but how does that work when tilting the engines up, would they have to go up at the same time?
