I am noob to rebuilding outboard motors and could use a little help. I had a bad piston so I replaced the piston, honed the cylinders, purchased new rings and gaskets. I am ready to put this bad boy back together. I have the oil needed for lube when putting the pistons back in but and stumped on what to use to seal the block. the manual calls for sealant 1000 that I cannot find anywhere. Any ideas on what I can use to seal the block when putting it back together? I have a lot more questions but when I ask a mechanic around my area they are rude and don't want to answer my questions. I am not doing this to save money but to learn how the motor works so I can keep the damn thing running when out on the water. Any advice or help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
