  • Trolling motor wiring for different speeds

I have a Johnson 12 / 24 volt trolling motor. I want to extend the control head wiring to the dashboard on my small pontoon. The trolling motor has 0,1,2,3 in one direction and a 3 in the other direction. Is the 3 by itself for reverse? Has anyone tapped off a motor to extend the controls to a dashboard? Any helpful information will be appreciated. Thanks, Bob G.

I bet if you post your question in the "Electrical, Electronics, Audio and Trolling Motor" group ( Electrical, Electronics, Audio and Trolling Motors ) someone there will be able to help.
