Just picked up a 77 85 hp Johnson...no controls. Putting it on a pontoon that has a 9.9 evinrude with controls. The controls only operate the shift and throttle. The 85 has electric choke and tach output. Do I just need to run a couple of wires for this? The motor has a red plug for the wiring harness.

You need to get the wiring harness that goes from the red plug on your engine to your control box.
