    Hello my motor idles rough high low. Runs alright only at 4000 rpm it will go to at wot but when it at the bottom of the tank just about running out of fuel it starts to go to 5100 rpm wot. Had it idleing in the back yard n it was rough till it got to the bottom of the tank idled nice. Any advice thanks

    On the carbed engines, it's normal for engines to slightly increase rpm's as they run out of fuel. They like to run lean, but a constant dose of lean mixture will kill the engine- so the factory has to fatten up the jets for normal operation. Not sure if the direct inject engines work the same way.

      Pretty sure I found my problem, I found a crack on the #2 cylinder head. Now my question is with the crack do I need to rebuild the pistons or can I just replace the cylinder head? And how much am I looking at spending for my problem? Thank yous in advance on your input

        I checked the price. $125.00 for a replacement head. It's a drop ship from a dealership, Witch means it may take some time to receive it.

          Well I found out my fuel pump had ruptured so I fixed that n it ran good for a bit but then at wot it stared to spudder then the engine light came on it alarmed for 30 seconds then silenced but the light stayed on . Anybody have any idea what I'm up against

            Also the motor is a ficht fuel injected not carb

              Are you working on this direct inject engine without a factory service manual?
