Johnson 70hp 1978,reverse and tilt lock

Hi,I'm quite new too outboards,as i've had inboards before.I now have a powerboat with a 1978 70hp outboard fitted,but i think there's some bits missing,as i think there should be some kind of lock lever for when in reverse,and a lock lever for when the outboard is tilted on the trailor and being towed,if so can anyone show me what they look like,any help will be much appreciated.Regards Phil

I'm not at home with my manual but on my 1977 70hp the lever for both is the same lever. There should be a lever on the port side if it is not there some models have a lever just below the front cover latch if my memory serves me right. Hope this helps.

Go to shop.evinrude.com and look up your mtr. They have good parts break downs.
