Apologize in advance - I'm sure this is posted somewhere but search and FAQ's turned up nothing for me. I cleaned the carbs and plugs on this engine that hadn't been run in a couple years. That corrected most of the poor running/idling issues (still stalls at low RPM, but that may be mixture/idle speed). Anyway, I have this mid-high RPM clunk like I'm hitting something! Happens maybe every 10 seconds. Below half throttle it doesn't happen. Sounds like a cluck but probably a miss? I'm assuming its timing and if it is, can i adjust with timing light and a screw on these engines? Any thoughts appreciated.

by what you describe, id look into the prop hub. but it could be a lean sneeze.

Good thoughts. Prop hub, easy; lean sneeze I like as well since I can do that adjustment.
