2004 225hp ficht how to jump start

I do not have a key switch and I am trying to fire the motor up. I bybassed the solenid and am getting it to turn over but there is no spark. The motor is in neutral. Is there a neutral saftey wire that I must bypass. I know yamahas have a wire you must jump( I think brown wire) Just need to know if I need to make a jumper wire and to what colors? If not maybe my ecu is bad. Thanks in advance..

Is this a lose motor, with no main harness / control box?. If it is just jump 12 volts to the purple wire on the engine side of the main harness.

Yes it is loose and I have no rigging for it. I will try to put power to the purple wire in the morning. Thanks

I had to jump purple, yellow/red, red/pink and it fired up. Thanks Woody

Boat ignition switches are ridiculously simple to bypass....no need to do anything fancy at all......
