How do I remove the Remote control for a evenrude 75 hustler

Im working on a 1975 Evenrude 75 Hustler, its on a small 15 foot speed boat and im moving it to a pontoon boat and I cant get the top of the remote control apart to get at the bolts to remove it from the side of the boat.

How do I take the cover on the remote unit apart the rest of the way to get at the mounting bolts or screws ?


I already have the lower panel off and there are no mounting bolts there holding it on, and I took off the shift lever, but cant find how the upper part of the front cover comes apart. Any Ideas?

There are two screws/bolts go thru the box and thru the side of the boat. You'll need to remove the 1/2" nuts from the other side of the surface that the box is mounted upon.
