I recently bought a hydra sports vs150ff that has a johnson gt150 on it. Motor runs great with plenty of power. I have owned 2 other boats and they both had force motors on them so i used the tc3 oil .
Was wondering what oil would be good to use with this johnson motor?

I bought a bottle of carbon guard from online to add to gas but the bottle looks very old heck the carbon guard inside has a orange tint to it. I thin k its old?
I didnt open bottle to add it to gas didnt want to add something old to a fresh tank of non ethanol gas. Thanks in advance for the help

No additives to fresh fuel, imo. TCW-3 is good with the Johnson, and some like synthetics. If you have a permanent tank in the hull, you might temporarily use a portable tank to test the new motor.* 50:1 oil ratio. Replace the impeller. Check the l.u. for water.

*want to be sure existing gas is uncontaminated -- no water at the bottom.
