The tilt won't hold the motor up. When in full up position it leaks back down in about 30 minutes. No apparent fluid leaks and reservoir is full. I suspect the manual release valve after reading other posts. So I got replacement o-rings, and thought it would be a simple job. WRONG. I removed the circlip and proceeded to unscrew the valve. Got it almost out and it stopped - wouldn't come all the way out. I tried grasping it with pliers thinking it was at the end of the threads, but it just wouldn't pull out. What am I doing wrong?

Try rocking the motor up and down and maybe pop it out.

Thanks - the boat is in the water and I don't want to lose it. I may try gripping it with vise grips and try to pull it out. I can't imagine what could be holding it.

Well, if it was corrosion, I'd suspect it wouldn't move at all. It turns freely until it's almost out then keeps turning, but doesn't turn out all the way. Just keeps spinning.

When you get it out of the water bounce the motor up and down like I suggested.
