I’ve rebuilt the carburetor new spark plugs. Tested the electric primer per the SELOC manual. Can’t get it to stay running. HELP!!!

i wanna go fishin!

does it stay alive if you pump the fuel bulb sounds like it is starving for fuel if you need to choke it ….could be just a bad fuel pump

did you clean the pump fuel screen….

btw tank is vented ??

did you do the carb BEFORE or AFTER you had troubles ??

I have a new primer bulb. I have replaced the fuel pump.(new). Is the tank supposed to be vented or are you saying make sure the tank vent is closed?

aside old style two line pressure tanks

all tanks must be vented … no air into the tank :indecisiveness: ...no gas to the motor...

open the gas cap if you have to test… tank vents do get clogged so clean any vents in the gas cap

modern tanks.. I believe have some form of automatic venting but try with the cap off.

if still no go… redo carb as suggested clean and clear all passages & blow dry

There is more to it than venting the tank !!----Even a closed vent will allow a motor to run for more than 5 seconds !
