Preparing to service 1969 4HP (4906B) with unknown previous history. Anticipating the worst.
Seeking source of equivalent part for impeller housing or complete pump repair kit w/ housing. Perhaps under different part number. Prefer to match to Sierra if I can.
Impeller housing: 0310344. Pricing.....yikes!

Original water pump repair kit (complete) was part # 382797. That is replaced with a more modern and better pump #0763758.. The new one has a plastic housing with stainless steel liner and a smaller impeller. Because of the SS liner, in the future all you will need is a new impeller. Besides, they pump better.

Are we sure that is the correct kit for the 4 HP motor ???----I thought they only used 2 screws for the pump housing !!

Many thanks, F_R! Trust what you say, and am interested in recreating the thread to your result. New to this, so used manufacturer site and part#s from the old diagrams. They are different from your part numbers. What source(s) should I be using?
Presumably the drive shaft is seized in powerhead. I have reviewed what I can find on methods to remove. Absent solvent application & soak method, nearly all ideas call for removing lower leg prior to pulling, hammering, etc. Anything I should be considering as a pulling-type apparatus suitable for use in the small space where drive shaft is exposed after lower leg is loosened? Thanks again.

Good catch. My eyeballs must have been crossed when I looked at the posting. My info was for a 6hp.

Complete water pump kit for a 4906B is part number 379770. Price is awful. As said earlier, make sure you need a new housing first.
