Well, I just saw one of the Evinrude 55 MFE motors at my local boat shop. Most impressive motor!
Other than the features they talk about a lot was the surface coating on the motor. Not only is it a flat black color like you would expect for a tactical motor, but my interest was piqued by the coating. It looked like truck bed liner on steroids! Very aggressive surface, and I assume it is very durable as well.
Does anyone have any information on what coating is used on these motors? I have another application I would like use such a coating. The best thing I have found so far is Raptor, but I haven't bought any yet.
