Hello everyone. I have misplaced my boat keys and cannot find them anywhere. I have been looking at the switch and cannot find a key code anywhere on it. In the picture is the only markings i can find. There is a J2 stamped on it which is upside down in the picture and scratched into the barrel of the switch is P (or R it’s hard to tell) K976. Can anyone help me out with these numbers or point me to wear i can find what replacement key i need?

looks like J2 is the mark on the switch. Bring the motor model number and any more info on the switch to a local J&E dealer. Not sure if the serial number would help as well but wouldn't hurt to bring it (serial number is shown with the model number on the ID plate, and usually on one of the aluminum core plugs on the powerhead.

If it were me, I would take the switch to a locksmith (phoning around first to find one that was confident that they could do it) and let them sort it out.
You can waste a lot of valuable time on the path you are taking IMO.
BTDT....even got the tee shirt. :)
