1980’s evinrude wiring harness

hi,
just wondering if the evinrude 25 and 35 hp motors use the same wiring harness? I’m looking at moving a wiring harness from a 1989 25 hp to a 1984 35 hp evinrude. Does anyone know if the same wiring harness is used in both motors? One wiring harness has been chewed by mice and is unusable.

Look at the parts lists and diagrams . They are different part numbers and look very different to me

The ignition system wiring is dramatically different between the '84 and the '89.

Thanks for the feedback. Good to know. What I am trying to do it get a bit more speed out of a 25 HP evinrude. It’s on a 18 ft pontoon. I’ve read some posts about converting a 25hp to a 35 hp. Does anyone know if there is such a kit? Thanks
