Hi just signed up on your forums,
working on a sea horse QD15 ,that was my grandparents. Need to know how to remove the steering bracket to weld or replace it.

Ain't no simple way. Remove the powerhead, then remove the exhaust housing from the steering pivot shaft, then pull pivot shaft up and out, finally the steering bracket can be pulled up and out.
