I hope someone can tell me where to buy the motor flush connecter that fits the old split gear case Johnsons and Evinrudes
of the '50's - '60's. It's the one that clips under the cavitation plate just behind the prop. My grandkids seem to have ''misplaced" mine. Thanks Rod

Gee, they could have painted it, for the price they want.

On my '58 Fat fifty, I used to put some duct tape over the pickup behind the prop and stick a standard flush device (one "ear" removed) over the reverse water intake(grating removed), above the A-V plate. That did give the motor some water.I would be very careful not to overheat her...

Those things are motor/model specific. What do you have?

$100 is stiff for only 1/2 the part. It's missing the retaining plate and springs. The one I had was shaped like your cupped hand and fit over the front of the exhaust outlet under the cavitation plate with a spring on each side to a retaining plate that clipped over the end of the cavitation plate. The hose connection came straight down parallel to the intake with a female swivel female hose connection. It fit my '57 7.5hp, '60 40hp Lark, and '67 9.5hp. Any help will be appreciated. Rod

54bobby It is a flush connection but the profile (pic. 2) where it fits on the motor is not correct for the OMC lower units of
the 50's and 60's. Perhaps much earlier ones. However, I do know where you can find the answer. I am a member of
AOMCI (Antique Outboard Motor Club Inc.) and some of the members will know exactly what you have, Try an internet
search for the club and see about contacting them.

There are some more modern ones out there -- have one stored up in my shop somewhere. Think they might have been made by Tempo, so that might be another lead. Can try the AOMCI free classified section (https://aomci.org), although a number of us are on this and similar sites as well. Can periodically check eBay for additional listings, hopefully something more complete and more realistically priced.

It was called a Tempo Flushette. They were made in several styles to fit various motors. But that was years ago. I'm not parting with mine.
