Greetings group, could someone post the difference in bulk weight of these 2 OB's or are they essentially the same? At this point I am without reference manuals. Thanks in advance, JD

Sorry, the 28HP is a 1964 model 28402M the 33HP is the same vintage mid to late 60's and the model number should be somewhere between
33002 & 33953.

You sure it's not 33552? That would be a 65 Evinrude 33HP Ski-Twin

33752 is a 1967 33hp. Still all the same basic motors and same weight.

Careful, someone will think they can twist a screw, change the jet and they will can turn a 28 into a 33. Never mind the displacement and other things are different

Having a 28 and have worked on 33's, I can tell ya, the 28 Is a much smoother running motor. Idles like a dream, where the 33 is a bit rougher. I'm sure the 33 Has more power, but I won't give up my 28.

I had a 1970 33 hp tiller Evinrude.Loaded up a 14 foot woody with more than I should of and even had a spare 15hp just in case! It handled the massive weight with nary a grunt.I was impressed .
