I have a hose for a water pump drain. Problem is it's not connected to anything and I don't see anywhere to connect it on the motor. There is no water draining from the inside the motor housing anywhere. Does anyone know where this hose connects and maybe have a picture. I have no been able to find any pictures online. Thanks for any help.

You are sure that is a water pump " drain " or is it a feed for a speedometer ?-----Is this on the front of the lower unit ?

The overboard indicator (pee hole) connects to the bottom starboard area on the exhaust cover (bubble style) close to the lower cylinder. Theres's a plastic 90 degree fitting there (or should be there). A hose runs up from there, over the starboard cylinder head, then down to a fitting on the motor pan. This is not a water pump drain.

I don't have a speedometer everything is original on the motor and instrument panel. So interalian there is no pee hole on this motor? I took it to a motor shoo and had it ran through when I first got it they didn't attach the hose to anything either

There was a " pee hole " when it left the factory 25 years ago.----What it has today needs to be shown with pictures.

The white hose that comes off the pee hose fitting now goes to a pressure gauge at the helm I would say.--------Not sure if that is the right way to go to a pressure gauge.----Usually it come off a tee in the pee hose !!

So the white hose coming off the motor is actually connected to the pee hole. I'll try unhooking that and see what happens if need be I can splice it. Will a regular water T work

??-----The hose to the gauge now comes off the fitting that was used at the factory for the pee hose.----I can not explain this any other way for you.

The pee line needs a fitting in the motor pan to provide a restriction to flow. You connect that to the angle fitting on the back of the motor which as I mentioned before is looped OVER the starboard cylinder head (supposedly an aid to preventing air blockages). You can put a tee anywhere in that line and attach it to that white line that goes to the pressure gauge.
