New to the forum here so looking to broaden my knowledge base. I currently own a 1989 tracker 1800fs with a Johnson evinrude 110. I bought the boat last year at the end of the season and only had it out a few dozen times. Getting it ready for the season and i noticed a broken bracket that holds the ram for the steering on to the transom mount. Ive been trying to do some research to locate what it is so i can try to purchase one but am having no luck. If anyone can lend a hand it would be appreciated. The pictures attached have the bracket circled and where it mounts has the arrow pointing to it. Thanks again

Welcome aboard.

While this is steering related, the busted part is for the motor. So moved this into the Johnson/Evinrude section for more eyes on it.

I think the tilt tube on that model goes through the stern brackets — can’t quite tell from the pics what you have there.

You may need to go to one of the clamps that mounts to the transom (Garelick?)

I think this is on the kit for dual steering cables.---Often installed as a safety feature on " high speed " boats.

Attached is a better angle from the side. So this may be a bracket from a dual cable steer kit. One thing I noticed is that when turning the motor I get wheel turns to the one side than the other 1.5 compared to 2.5

Yes , as suspected that is the duel cable set up.-----Parts for that can be found on the accessories pages.---Should be an easy fix.
