ok so i found a broken and bent cable in my shifter the other day and i was wondering if i can just take the ends off the old cable and use a universal cable like a morse or uflex looking at the ends thats what it looks like i have and the travel on the cable is the same as a 33c and a uflex
any help would be greatly appreciated model number on my engine is m60b with a regular tohastu control box
thanks

Re: tohatsu cable question

Yes. The Tohatsu RC boxes use standard clamp-style Morse-type cables, so any good cable with 10-32 thread will work; you just need the clevis ends to fit the control and motor.
