My Honda 9.9 was checked in the shop in the water tank and was running fine. Got it checked before buying from somebody. the motor had less than 20 hours.
After I intalled it on my sailboat , it starts fine but dies after few minutes. It starts fine after dying. When I installed it I had to change the gaz connection to the motor because the old one was for a Yamaha. I put brand new gaz. I noticed that when I squeeze the bulb does not get hard like it used to. Should I buy another bulb and a new line ? Anybody has any ideas ?

It sounds boring but clean the carb. Check out float needle and height/operation. I take it there is fuel in the float chamber as it starts in neutral after cut out? These are just places to start. Try it with a different remote tank.........could be air.
