Could anyone tell me how big of a job it would be to replace the upper housing on a Honda BF8A 4 stroke? This would be the part that the cowling sits on and the power head bolts to. It was damaged in a trailering accident. I found a person who has the same part off of the same model Honda (BF8A) and HP the only difference seems to be that the other persons serial # starts with BACU and mine starts with BACL. Would these be different for this part? Any advice would help. I have moderately good back yard mechanic skills and have worked on Johnson OB before, but I dont want to spend the money on the part only to find out this is too big a job.
