Honda 50 HP Water Pump Change

I want to change the water pump in my 2003 Honda 50 HP. Are the procedures detailed in the 1976/1999 Clymer Honda Outboard Repair Book the same as I would use on the 2003 model? If not, where might I obtain the needed procedures for the 2003 model without buying an EXPENSIVE Honda shop manual? Thank you

dd716ted,<br />They should be the same. Tiller controls changed, but the mechanicals and cooling haven't. Just remember to undo the shift linkage below the engine pivot when you're ready to drop the lower unit. Without undoing it first, the lower unit will only drop about 1/8 inch and appear to be stuck. People have a tendency to think somethings wrong and try to force it off. Once the linkage is undone, it'll slide right out.<br /><br />Nav
