After changing the head gasket on my Tohatsu 40hp M40C, I am not getting the power which I was getting before and it sort of feels like it is back firing. Do I need to adjust the idling or have I missed or messed something :)
Would appreciate any help!

Paul, the timing seemed fine before until I changed the gasket and tried adjusting the Idling, whereby I might have messed the idling even more. Would that be the case or still do you think I need to verify the timing?
Thanks!

Seems to be working fine now after re-torquing... may be that might have been the problem!
Thanks for all the help!

Which was the re torque force applied in Newton Meters ? there's a bolt torquing sequence you must follow while torquing in torque steps...
