Destroyed my gear case “carful with those high thrust props “ I’m wondering if someone knows how to get the inboard roller bearing out also the needle bearing is there a tool I need thanks⛵

Curious why you think the high thrust prop had anything to do with the failure.

I had the seven high thrust it’s been good decided to try the five pitch it was operator error hit reverse teal fast and bent the dogs and bounced the motor several times 🤷‍♂️

You should not install props blindly, needs to be tached after initial install with an induction tach to know if the motor revs at least middle to max wot rpm range factory stated as usually loaded. Which watercraft was the motor powering to go down in pitch to a 5 pitch?

Odds are the 7 pitch is right. I run a 5 pitch on an 8000 pound HR28.

Hey Paul was wondering what the amb stands for and also are the lower units compatible between say 2006 2007 talked to someone and they said my lower unit wasn’t available and couldn’t tell me if the 2007 unit would work thanks

AMB is "aquamarine blue", which is the midnight black color.
Year is irrelevant; Model is everything. The person you spoke with doesn't have a clue.

Got the lower unit yesterday was an exact fit thanks Paul👍 One more question is there a break in period or just run it.

Take it easy for a few hours. Change lube after 10 or 20 hours.
