I am only the second owner of this very basic 85# 2-stroke 15HP (carbed with recoil starter) but it recently decided not to fire the plugs. Don't want to just throw parts at it but need testing ideas.
Not that it matters but it's a tiller-to- remote conversion.

If you are sure you don't have spark, text the electrics using your Factory service manual as a guide.

Faulty ground . . . whew!
The 32 year old CDI - Coil unit is huge by today's standards but it's still chugging along.

Yep, ground contacts are usually bypassed then doing electrical troubleshooting, all grounds should be removed, cleaned and polish from time to time to asure long lasting life of all the electrical components..
