BF30A Ignition control module

My control box is pt# 30400-ZW2-0003 is discontinued but a can find a pt# 30400ZW2-7810 that fits same year model,will they inner change.
Another question: why are both of these do hard to find?

Can't help regarding your question, but my experience has been the Honda's have pretty sturdy ign. systems. Are you sure you need one?

It was diagnosed at a Honda outboard dealership,they informed me part was no longer available.
Engine runs for a second then stops I check spark n have none I let it sit for 30 minutes then it fires and runs for a second again.

Has anyone tried disconnecting the temp sender?

No lights or buzzers going off.
I disconnected temp sensor.
Don't understand why this pt# is like a hens tooth.

My guess would be it's been superseded with another part number. Maybe one from a 25 or 35? I would be seeking advice from a good parts man - if you can find one.

Sorry I'm late to the party...try changing spark plugs before condemning the module...don't ask how I know.
