My engine has been starting perfectly.
This part is new..... No beep and no lights on tach when switch is activated. Engine will turn over easily but doesn't fire. Something else new.. Trim switch on engine works both ways. Trim on binnacle goes up doesn't go down. Checked switch on binnacle for continuity no issues.. Also high pressure fuel feed pump was not coming on when the key is turned on. Pulled it works when powered. Since tach doesn't work I can't self diagnose. Checked electrical connections on harness and they all seem good. It does seem like an electrical connection issue but I just don't get what could have happened sitting in my driveway. Better here than on water. Dealer no where close. Any ideas? ECM?

Having your exact model would help. Sounds like the ECU is not initializing. Could be a bad 12v ign wire from the switch, There are 3 fuses on the port side upper area. Are those all OK? Trim switch on RC box is only supposed to operate when motor is ON, whereas the cowl switch works whenever there is battery power.

Just to clarify. Fuses all check good visually and continuity. The trim on the engine and binnacle always worked as you described except now ... With the the ignition switch on the binnacle switch works on up only not down. How can I verify the ignition switch is good or bad?

I have tried to test the ignition switch. Right or wrong here's what I did. Test probe on red pin switch off no continuity any other pin. Switch on ..... red on red continuity. Cranking mode continuity red on red and red on green. No continuity in crank mode or run mode for blue or brown. Don't know how to check this or if what I did reveals anything.

You may want to get a Factory service manual or see a dealer.

No one nearby .. guess I'm on my own. Where in the service manual would you suggest I begin? Thanks
