looking at a boat with this motor but cant find any information on line except for small bits of info in forums. are parts still readily available or are these motors no longer avaible?
The Plus had auto mixing of oil. Made from around 1992 to about 2001. The D2 has a second ring, compared with the plain D. That was considered a big thing back then. Any dealer can sell you parts. Check Tohatsu.com, and see the dealer locator. If you get stuck, send me a PM. Be careful of the plastic fuel inlets for the carbs. If you break one, you will be making something; those were never available separately.
