Tohatsu 9.8 4 stroke 2006y making oil

I got Tohatsu 9.8 4 stroke 2006y. It's new to me outboard. i run motor for few hours at troling speed and i notice oil level is going up.
its smeling fuel. whats the problem can be . fuel pump or the carb problem?

what about you expirience. did you meet this problem with oil mixing with fuel

If "fuel" is being mixed with motor oil probably the fuel pump if being a carbed motor has issues, check diaphragm condition if cracked, porous ? change for a new one if found so. Motor making oil due to water condensation is other story.
