  • Knob on throttle control???

Sorry I don't have a picture of this, but I'll try to explain.

I have a US Marine throttle control that has the key start built into the end of the control box. Right next to the key is a black knob. What is that knob for? It is not the lanyard kill switch. I pulled the knob off and inside is a hex-head bolt.

Pull that knob to disengage the shift cable. You use that when you just want throttle control without shifting into gear (warming up the engine).

    Is this it?

The knob that I am referring to is directly under the key in your picture. It doesn't appear to be a knob that you pull. It does turn, however. If I want to warm up the engine, I push the button on the center of the shift lever and move the throttle handle forward.

Anyone know where to get a new/used US Marine Side Mount Control box?

Lost the metal clips that hold the cables secure in the dang thing.
