I am looking to set my timing @ 28 degrees (cranking with wot)

but I am a little confused about the timing light itself

do i set the dial to 28 or 0 (zero)

Thanks

Re: HELP - advance timing light

What is the model, year and HP of the engine?

An advance timing light won't work on a mechanical advance engine. Set the dial to '0' and use it like a traditional timing light. Make sure you time with the throttle at WOT.
