I'm trying to get a handle on the procedure for replacing the rings. Mostly to decide whether I can actually get this done before the end of the season or I should just resign myself to working on it over the winter.
The steps in the service manual and the clymer manual basically outline removing the entire power head. So I'm wondering if there is a more practical way to get the pistons out to replace the rings.
So if there is a better/fast way and someone can give me the steps I'd appreciate it.
Also any tips of what to look for and what parts and tools I'm going to need would be great.
As always, thanks much for your help
