To test the fuel output, I took the following steps.
1 - I removed the fuel hose from the carbs
2 - I pumped the primer bulb and got full flow through the hose.
3 - I started the engine and the fuel output through the hose was far less than full flow (about a 1/4 the output) and it was pulsing.
From what I understand, pulsing is somewhat normal as long as it isn't spitting air,is that correct?
The other thing is the amount of flow, I wouldn't expect it to be as much as when you pump the primer, but what flow should i get?
I have the kit for the new pump on the way, I'll replace that and check it again. But I'd like to know what to expect from a "known good" pump.
Thanks
M
