Carb Kit Cross Reference - 18-7037 and FT10103-2

87 Force 125b carburetor

Can anyone verify for me that I have the cross reference correct for the carburetor kit.

Merc lists FT10103-2 and I think the correct Sierra part is 18-7037

Is that correct?

That kit does not have a sierra cross reference. The 10103-2 cost is around 55 bucks and the sierra 7037 kit is only 15 bucks.

Think that's the right one or is the significant cost difference because there is more to it?

I have read many posts in Force that the 18-7037 wont work on their motors. Your carb probably has a press fit seat. I checked other sites and they sell both kits however they cross reference the sierra to other force numbers but not to that 10103 kit. My bet is your wasting your money. You could buy one of each and see if it works.
