I have a 17 ft Maxum, 1989 with a 85 hp Force on the boat. I’m looking for the Manuel that covers this boat and the engine.

All the help is much appreciated.

For what it's worth, I do like the Clymer's. The guy I bought my 87' from threw it in, and he had done me LOTS of favors with it.. seeminly correctly, and he was no mechanic. Meaning I haven't done much but the manual is thorough, though it covers all the HP's so you have to skip sections all the time and make sure you're not drifting to the wrong one for details/specs. The originals look like they cover specific HP's so you'd be spared that trouble. Good luck,

Clymers are good for ?? they cover a LOT of motors.
They don't have the specifics needed to do any serious repairs.
Like what's the ring end clearance?
They are better than nothing.

Just bought a 1996 120 Force service manual 20$ Ebay

I have a Clymer for old Chrysler motors. I would be lost without it. A factory shop manual would be better but probably not that much better.

Great for camping trips when you forget the TP
for the outhouse!! :)

In the process of rebuilding a 98 120
Wouldn't attempt it without a factory book.
