Hi All,

I found my boat engine is weak and I bought a bottle of seafoam. Is it going to harm my engine if I do following,

I buy 10L gas and adding proper volume of oil(200ml) and put a bottle of seafoam and then I run my engine with the mixer of gas oil and seafoam.

I am concerned about the volume of seafoam. How much should I add it to the gas?

Thank you every one.

That would be fine, won't hurt a thing.
Will probably smoke more than usual, don't worry.

If problems persist, check compression, and spark.

I have replaced the sparks and the presssion of cylinder is from 120 to 130. After all the engine is too old, 1978, chrysler

I myself do not like seafoam. Works good in cars. What size is the outboard?

Seafoam is a waste of $$$$$$

What do you mean weak???
What's it doing?

The compression test? how was it done?
You remove all the plugs while testing?
How many times did the motor turn over when testing each cylinder?
It needs to turn over at least 5 times or until the gauge stops going up.

The 120-130 is a bit low, try another gauge.
Get a GOOD one.
There are huge differences in quality and the results.
Harbor Freight testers are crap and they give crap results.

If you want to add something?? use Mercury's Power Tune or OMC's Engine Tuner.
Both are the same thing, they remove carbon really well.

Did a test Power Tune vs Seafoam
Soaked a piston in 4 oz. of each for 24hr.
The PT melted away the carbon, some deposits needed a grove cleaner.
The SF did nothing after 48hr.

So tell us what's happening?
