125HP and 85HP Force Motor

Can anyone let me know if the lower unit for a 125HP Force Outboard Motor will be same or can fit to a 85HP Force Motor? Thanks

Most likely yes especially if they are of the same year and length. And what is even great is that the 85 LU has a better gear ratio giving you better hole shot.

You'll probably have to change the prop.
Like Jiggz said the gear ratio is different.
Being as the 85 is going on a 125 it won't perform as well as the other way around.

Thanks. I found also a LU for 90HP. Hope this is ok also to use for my 85HP?

Need help. I am buying a Lower Unit for my 85HP - 1989 Force model. Will the 90HP 1992 Force will fit to my 85HP Force? Also, when it says 25" shaft - is this the measurement of where the propeller is connected? Appreciate your help. Thanks
