So I have 2 water cooled Ducati Marine engines. One DM-184 HD (single cylinder), and one DM-284 HD (two cylinder). Both are mated to Hurth gears. The DM-184 is in my 19' Rhodes Diesel Launch https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=rRHp83Dp7vY the other is sitting in my shop. I have put 110 hrs on the DM-184 thus far and it appears to run well. I have been on the web for sometime looking for info on these engines. Thus far, very far and few if any info out there. Infact, I have more info in the owners manual that came with them than I have found any where. I'm really just searching for other boats that have them currently running in them. I keep getting air cooled Ducati diesel info, but no water cooled. I was able to find 2 videos of the DM-284, but other than that the plate is empty. Just hoping for some feed back. I know they are kinda rare, but hopefully not extinct haha.IMAG0011.jpgIMAG0008.jpgIMAG0007.jpg

Re: Looking for Ducati WATER COOLED Marine info

I've seen a couple but have not dug into finding info on them. All I could offer is maybe this forum Old Marine Engine
This site deals with nothing but real old engines.

Good luck

Re: Looking for Ducati WATER COOLED Marine info

Thx ALLDODGE for the response, however these are late '80s early '90s engines- not vintage engines.
