Volvo turbos interchangeable??

Hi can I put a KAD42 turbo on my AQAD40B.. I understand they are @ 200hp compared to my 165hp. Are they the same? any one know if it would work?
They are both K26 but I dont know if there are differences other than that..?

According to the VP site they have different part numbers, so my guess is they won't work with stock application

Without the complete specs of the turbos, they could simply be same turbo with different housing clocking or they could have different impeller trim or compressor trim.

Without knowing the specs of the turbo, most people, even the volvo techs cant answer the question.

That being said, assume they are different
