I have Cheoy Lee 41 Offshore with Volvo MD17 engine in it. The exhaust is designed that the dry fumes go from the engine into a large heat exchanger (two pipes within each other, fumes in the inner one, water in the outer one). The problem is the connection between the engine and the heat exchanger. The original flexible pipe (2'' ID, 3ft long) corroded and is leaking fumes. I find it very hard to find the right hose. Rubber or silicon wont take the heat, and most flexible metal hoses would get damaged by the vibrations. Anybody has experience with this issue?
