Throttle control help

Is there any possible way to reverse the direction this control moves my throttle cable? Like some sort of linkage i can mess with to make this push my throttle cable instead of pulling? I'm about to seriously give up on finding a used set of controls for this motor... (1988 force 85hp)

There is bad news and perhaps good news.

Bad news...different outboards need different control movement. i.e. Merc throttle cables pull the throttle open and Johnnyrude throttle cables push the throttle open.

The possible good news is that your control looks to be universal, and would work on multiple types of motors.

I would go on the manufacturers web site and try to download instructions to set that control to work with your Force.

Just found the instructions and got it fixed! Last night while typing out that question I figured people would laugh at me having no idea that a lot of these universal controls are capable of doing this. Thank you so much! This forum is top notch!
