Recently my shift cable broke and I am looking to order the correct size. I want to order it ahead of time before taking it off to see the length printed on he cable. I have looked at the FourWinns site like suggested in another post on this forum and they don't go back to 1997. I have the 5.7 Volvo Penta.
-Should I replace the throttle cable at the same time or leave the old one?
-And is there a specific brand recommendation for the cables or should I get a Volvo cable if they still make them for my boat?
